This policy explains how GetIBAN ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data when you visit getiban.eu, submit an enquiry through our eligibility check, or interact with our advertising.
01 Who we are
GetIBAN is operated by LS Estonia OU, a company registered in Latvia ("the Controller").
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For privacy matters, contact us at privacy@getiban.eu.
02 What personal data we collect
Data you give us
When you complete the eligibility check or otherwise contact us, we collect the information you provide, which typically includes:
- Company name (or an indication that the company is not yet formed);
- Jurisdiction of the company;
- Approximate monthly turnover band;
- A description of the business activity;
- Your work email address and any other contact details or messages you send us.
If you engage our services, we may collect further information needed to assess and submit an account application — for example identification documents, proof of address, and ownership or source-of-funds details. That processing is also covered by the engagement terms we agree with you.
Data we collect automatically
When you use the website we may collect technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and referral source, through cookies and similar technologies (see section 08). If you arrive via an ad, we may also receive campaign or click identifiers from Google or Meta.
03 Why we use your data and our legal basis
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we rely on the following legal bases:

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time via the cookie preferences on the site or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
04 Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed:
- Partner companies. To place your account, we may share your details with partner companies involved in assessing and introducing you to a suitable provider.
- Banks and licensed payment / e-money institutions. Where you ask us to introduce you, we share application information with the provider(s) you agree to be introduced to.
- Service providers. Website hosting, Contact Form 7 / email delivery, Google Tag Manager, and — where you consent — Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta. These act on our instructions or under their own terms as independent controllers where applicable.
- Authorities. Where we are legally required to disclose information, including under anti-money-laundering law.
05 International transfers
Some recipients may be outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including Google and Meta (often involving the United States). Where a recipient is in a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the transfer mechanisms published by those platforms.
06 How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that don't proceed: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Clients: for the duration of our relationship and, where AML rules apply, typically 5 years after it ends.
- Website / ads / analytics: according to cookie lifetime and platform settings (typically up to 14 months), or until you clear cookies.
07 Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, have inaccurate data corrected, have data erased, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@getiban.eu — we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv) or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
08 Cookies, ads & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential cookies load only after you accept them in our cookie banner. We use Google Consent Mode so tags stay restricted until consent is given.
Categories
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to work (security, consent storage). Always on.
- Analytics — help us understand traffic and form conversions via Google Tag Manager. Off until you consent.
- Advertising — Google Ads measurement / remarketing and Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Pixel events when active. Off until you consent.
Tools
- Google Tag Manager (GTM-K78JDFRL) — loads and manages tags according to your consent choices.
- Google Ads — conversion tracking and remarketing after consent.
- Meta Pixel — page view and conversion events after consent, when enabled.
- Contact Form 7 — processes the eligibility form you submit.
You can change your mind anytime via cookie preferences on the site, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Google’s and Meta’s own policies also apply when those tools run.
09 Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to those who need it.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
